Free memoir writing workshop

I’m holding a free workshop on writing memoir on the closed Facebook group, The Memoir Connection. It’s happening this Sunday. If anyone is interested, please go to my FB page, Sydney Wayland Smith, and PM me for a link to the group.

Online workshop:

Date: this Sunday, 23 July.

Time: 10am to 2pm.

Place: the Memoir Connection

Cost: free

Description: How to plot and structure memoir. What is the relationship between character (the narrator) and plot? How can we tell the story in a gripping way? How do we grab the reader’s attention and keep them glued to the page?

About me: I’m a writing mentor. I help people develop their manuscripts in a wide variety of genres, from literary fiction to historical to action adventures to crime. I teach memoir and life writing as well. My book-length memoir, The Lost Woman, was published by Text. I’ve also had short memoirs published in Griffith REVIEW. I often post short memoirs here and on my FB page.
